Project Porsche 944 Gets Better Throttle Response

It has been a little while since I’ve written anything about Project 944 (you can read more about Project 944 here). Since I last wrote, the car has gotten a lot lighter with the removal of all sound deadening, the back seats, lighter weight carpet, 911 RS style door cards and removal of the entire stereo system. All of this weight reduction plus the addition of a short shifter had made the car feel much quicker, but getting off the line was still a bit slow as the 1983 Porsche 944 does not have very good throttle response.… Read More

A Huge Porsche Weekend in Monterey – Videos

This last weekend was a huge weekend to be in the Monterey Peninsula. On Friday (August, 13th) the Legends of the Autobahn Concours was held and the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance started and went through Sunday. At Pebble Beach, the Porsche 918 Spyder made it’s North American Debut.

Porsche 918 Spyder North America Debut

On August 15th (this coming weekend) Porsche will be debuting the Porsche 918 Spyder for the first time in North America. The hybrid car that is able to use 718 HP in race mode or get 78 MPG in economy mode, will be shown at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
