It is being reported that Porsche will be hiring about 7,000 new employees. Of these many will be engineers and craftsmen. The reason for the new hires is that under VW, Porsche is working on increasing it’s lineup to seven cars. These will include the 911, Boxster, Cayman (Boxster and Cayman are considered one model), Panamera, Cayenne, 918 and a new smaller SUV (Porsche has confirmed this). There are also reports of a possible new car that will bridge the gap between the 911 and 918 as well as an entry level sports car.
The challenge that Porsche has is finding qualified people. For example, not very many people in Germany are getting the right engineering degrees for the needed engineering jobs. Because of this Porsche will likely start looking to other countries to find talent.
So, if you have the qualifications a job at Porsche may be right for you.
