Today’s video is of a Porsche 911 Turbo S having a drag race against a Ferrari 458 Italia. Many would think that this race would be close, but you have to watch the video to see which car runs away with the victory.
This year in the American Le Mans Series has not been the greatest for Porsche driving teams. With a few teams getting a win here or there, but none in contention for the points drivers’ championship. However, the manufacturers’ championship is still within reach for Porsche as we enter the last race of the season.
Porsche trails BMW with 132 point versus 154 points, but at Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta there are 30 available points, so Porsche has a chance to win the manufacturers’ championship.… Read More

The Flying Lizard team of Patrick Long and Jörg Bergmeister are looking to win their second straight race in the American Le Mans Series. This season has not been the best for the team, but they are looking to finish the season strong by wining their second straight race, Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta. Last week I reported that the Porsche Panamera had won the “Head Turner” Motorist Choice Award for the premium vehicle category. Well, Porsche has put out a press release with more information about the award.

The 2011 Porsche Panamera is the top “Head Turner” in the premium vehicle category, according to the sixth annual Motorist Choice Awards.
This coming weekend is the Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta in the ALMS. The race will have quite a few story lines including can Flying Lizard team get a second straight win or can the Falken Tire Team finish the season with a win. The Porsche Panamera has been awarded a Motorist Choice award. The award is from the automotive research groups AutoPacific and IntelliChoice and is based on survey data from 72,000 vehicle owners. The award recognize vehicles with high consumer satisfaction ratings and lower than average ownerships costs.
