This weekend, Patrick Long and Joerg Bergmeister brought home their first victory of the year for the #45 Flying Lizard Porsche at Lime Rock in this year American Le Mans Series. The race featured some great action for Porsche fans and of course the outcome was great for a Porsche enthusiast.

The big key to the #45 Flying Lizard’s win was what turned out to be a strategic pit stop during a caution in the race. Going into the pit stop the #45 Flying Lizard Porsche held the #3 position in the GT Class going into the pit stop and came out of it at the #4 position. However, during the rest of the race the they were aided by a Tire puncture and a leading car being forced to take a pit stop because they hadn’t during the caution. Beyond this, some great driving by Patrick Long put the team in the lead of the GT Class for the remainder of the race.

A great race was run by the Flying Lizard team and hopefully this will lead to more victories the remainder of the season.
